Creation of a nursery with 48 places. Space and furniture design
Client: La maison des Bout’chou
Programme: Nursery multi-care structure with 48 places.
Surface area: 473 m²
Budget: 864 000 € + VAT
Mission: complete mission, Loi MOP
Certification: HQE
The project involves restructuring a 473 m² business premises over three levels (ground floor, first and second), to accommodate a 48-bed group crèche in three sections:
– Group 1 area: 16 children (2.5 months to 12 months)
– Group 2 area: 16 children (13 months to 24 months)
– Group 3 area: 16 children (25 months to 36 months)
A small courtyard has been converted into an outdoor play area.
The new facility has two street entrances, one for the public and the other for staff.
Public access is via a gateway, the leaves of which have been refurbished, and then a pathway that crosses the porch passageway and the courtyard before reaching the family entrance hall.
Around this reception area are the management office, a multi-purpose office/infirmary and a toilet accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The staff access leads to the rubbish and cleaning rooms, the staff changing rooms and toilets, as well as their relaxation room.
The rest of the service rooms (laundry/laundry room/reheating area) are grouped together in an area that is inaccessible to children.
The three groups of children are superimposed on the three-storey wing of the building and are treated in a similar way. Each is completed by a changing room and rest rooms (16 cots). These three levels have a walk-through layout and provide good natural lighting and ventilation.
The acoustic behaviour of the premises is at the heart of our concerns. The false ceilings are perforated and a layer of rock wool is used to absorb sound.
We favour indirect lighting in the treatment of artificial lighting.
Particular attention is paid to the maintenance and durability of coverings and finishes.
