The City of Grenoble has built a housing development in the triangle bounded by Lucien Andrieux, Francis Jammes and Alfred de Vigny (2 ha). This project will accompany the reconstruction and demolition of the Francis Jammes residence on the same site.
Client: Adoma (SONACOTRA)
Programme: Demolition and reconstruction of a 225-unit social housing complex.
Surface: 8 107 m²
Budget: 10M€ + VAT
Mission: complete mission, RT 2005
A 223-unit social residence has been built at the southern end of the site. It replaces the former 410-bed hostel. It provides better conditions for young people in training, single people with or without children, childless couples and ageing immigrant workers.
Accommodation for couples and families:
– 20 studio flats of 35m2 and 17 two-room flats of 50m2 for smaller households.
Accommodation for single people (migrant workers, young people on integration schemes, etc.):
– 160 studio flats from 18m2 to 21m2.
– 4 flats comprising 7 units of 18m2, making a total of 28 units. This type of flat meets the expectations of some of the residents who are used to this more convivial lifestyle. The project takes into account the changing population of the residence: the flats can easily be adapted into independent studio flats.
The programme is completed by a multi-purpose room, administrative offices, a laundry, a linen room and a bicycle/stroller room. In addition, suitable premises are available on site for associations, external contributors and medical professionals.
