Construction of premises for France Bleu Périgord in the Centre Départemental de Communication de la Dordogne
Client: Ville de Périgueux
Programme: Construction of premises for France Bleu Périgord
Surface: 700 m²
Budget: 2 M € + VAT
Mission: complete mission, RT
The new premises of France Bleu Périgord, a regional branch of Radio France but functionally independent, complement the Dordogne departmental communications centre in Périgueux, which we also built.
This building is the first in France to have been built for a radio station since 1963, when the Maison de la Radio was inaugurated in Paris.
This highly technical office building is set in a historic site, at the foot of Saint Front Cathedral and on the banks of the River Isle. The flood-prone site meant that the building had to be built on stilts.
It is home to a team of around forty people and houses 2 studios, control rooms and interview rooms, a programming room, editorial offices and technical facilities.
The south and west facades are fitted with motorised adjustable wooden blinds.
