In the seminar organised to mark the anniversary of the Architecture, Town Planning and Environment Council (CAUE), NODOS unveils the challenges involved in refurbishing the ENGIE Tower in Cergy-Pontoise.

The renovation and major restructuring of an emblematic building in the new town of Cergy-Pontoise, the ENGIE Tower, is an ambitious project that is essential to the urban regeneration of the region. This landmark structure, a witness to an era and a symbol of architectural modernity, requires meticulous work to preserve its character while making technical and aesthetic improvements.

Pablo Katz, founding partner of NODOS, shared his experience of this complex project. Through this exchange, he highlights the challenges encountered when transforming a historic building, while respecting modern requirements for functionality, sustainability and comfort. This refurbishment is an excellent example of how architecture can evolve while remaining true to its original identity.
